Elvis Kryukov, a junior at Angelo State representing Cyprus, repeated as men's decathlon winner with a lifetime-best 7,678 points at the NCAA Division 2 Championships at Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl Stadium in Pueblo, Colo. Kryukov elevated from 7,574 points last year at Grand Valley State in Michigan, ascending to the No. 16 competitor in Division 2 history. He became the first Angelo State decathlete to secure back-to-back decathlon titles, in addition to the first competitor to repeat since Florian Obst achieved the feat for Texas A&M-Commerce in 2017-18.
